Visual Effects Society for example published a standardized format for camera reports late last year. This helps to gather VFX information and transfer it to the editor’s room more effectively. It is based on Filemaker and it’s Open Source – thus you can download it for free: http://www.camerareports.org/
This Metadata Monday’s exciting question: will this new standard become as widely accepted as iXML is in sound? Chances are high for it’s the result of the collaboration of a lot of VFX-companies. Industry’s big players like 5th Kind want to integrate the standard already in their next upgrade.
