Today we give some attention to a prejudice firmly established in film industry: Final Cut X is a complete disaster and Apple’s backsliding from the professionals’ market.
Well, we don’t want to judge on usability – we as digital film set natives are more interested in the metadata workflow. In comparison to earlier versions the program has definitely gotten better: e. g. it’s making better use of the audio metadata and clip-renaming got a lot easier as well.

Minute 21:05 shows the workflow’s only major flaw: The guy is copying the content information right from the PDF (exported from American script supervisor tool “ScriptE” in this case) – he obviously hasn’t heard about LockitSCRIPT yet.
